This Shipping Policy outlines our procedures and rates for shipping products purchased from Pani Zina LLC ("we," "us," or "our") via our website, www.panizina.com.

SECTION 1 - PROCESSING & FULFILLMENT

1.1. Processing Time: Orders are typically processed and prepared for shipment within 2 business days of receipt. Processing time may be extended during holidays or high-volume periods, and we will update customers via email if delays are expected.

1.2. Shipping Origin: All orders are shipped from our warehouse located in Virginia.

1.3. Packaging of Perishables: All Pani Zina sauerkraut products are raw and unpasteurized. They are packaged to maintain quality during transit, typically using boxes and moulded trays to control temperature.

SECTION 2 - DOMESTIC SHIPPING RATES (USA)

The following flat rate shipping charges will be applied to your order during checkout for shipments within the 50 United States and Washington, D.C.:

  • For orders valued at $99.00 and greater: Shipping is Free. The service is typically UPS Ground or USPS Ground Service.

  • For orders valued at less than $99.00: A flat rate of $7.95 is applied. The service is typically UPS Ground or USPS Ground Service.

2.1. Estimated Transit Time: Once shipped, estimated transit time is typically 3-7 business days, depending on the destination state. Transit times are estimates and not guaranteed.

SECTION 3 - SHIPPING RESTRICTIONS AND INTERNATIONAL ORDERS

3.1. Military Addresses: We do not currently ship to Military addresses (APO/FPO/DPO) due to the restrictions and time sensitivity of our perishable products.

3.2. P.O. Boxes: We generally cannot ship to P.O. Boxes. Please provide a physical street address for all orders.

3.3. International Orders: We do not accept international orders at this time. Shipping is restricted to the 50 United States and Washington, D.C.

SECTION 4 - PRODUCT SAFETY, RISK OF LOSS, AND ADDRESS ACCURACY

4.1. Product Safety Upon Arrival: As our sauerkraut is a naturally preserved fermented product, it is safe to consume even if the product arrives at room temperature. Refrigeration primarily helps maintain crispness and consistent flavor. Please place the jars in your refrigerator immediately upon delivery.

4.2. Jar Pressure and Leakage: Fermented products continue to create gas. Our lids are designed to allow a small amount of gas to escape to prevent extreme pressure build-up. A small amount of leakage or moisture on the jar is normal and safe, and it does not mean the product is spoiled. Always store jars upright in the refrigerator.

4.3. Risk of Loss: The risk of loss for items purchased passes to the customer upon our delivery to the shipping carrier. We are not responsible for packages that are lost, stolen, or damaged after they leave our facility.

4.4. Perishable Disclaimer: As our products are raw, unpasteurized, and perishable, we are not responsible for spoilage or damage caused by:

* Delivery delays caused by the carrier (once the package is in their possession).

* Packages left outside for extended periods after delivery.

* Improper handling or storage by the customer after receipt.

4.5. Incorrect Shipping Address: If a package is returned to us due to an incorrect or incomplete shipping address provided by the customer, the customer will be responsible for the cost of re-shipping the order. Refunds will not be issued for returned orders due to customer address errors.

RETURN AND REFUND POLICY

Due to the perishable, raw, and unpasteurized nature of our products, all sales of Pani Zina sauerkraut are generally considered final. We strive for 100% customer satisfaction, and this policy is designed to address issues related to shipping damage or errors on our part, while maintaining health and safety standards.

SECTION 1 - NON-RETURNABLE ITEMS (FINAL SALE)

1.1. Perishability: Due to health and safety concerns related to perishable food products, we do not accept returns for any opened or unopened product once it has been delivered.

1.2. No Refunds for Preference: We cannot issue refunds or replacements for products due to issues of personal taste, texture preference, or minor cosmetic inconsistencies.

1.3. No Refunds for Normal Fermentation: As stated in our Shipping Policy, we do not issue refunds for conditions that are normal to raw, fermented products, including: * Arrival at Room Temperature: The product is safe to consume even if it arrives at room temperature (Section 4.1, Shipping Policy). * Minor Jar Leakage or Moisture: This is normal and safe due to gas pressure release from continued fermentation (Section 4.2, Shipping Policy). * Changes in Flavor/Texture: Natural variations that occur during shipping and storage.

SECTION 2 - REFUNDS AND REPLACEMENTS (DAMAGED OR INCORRECT ITEMS)

2.1. Eligibility for Refund/Replacement: We only replace items if they are defective, severely damaged upon arrival, or if you received the incorrect item due to an error on our part.

2.2. Reporting Damage: You must report defective or severely damaged goods within 48 hours of the delivery date. This strict time frame is necessary for time-sensitive food products and to allow for carrier claims if applicable.

2.3. Required Proof: To process a refund or replacement for a damaged item, we require clear photographic evidence showing the following: * The overall condition of the delivered box. * The specific damage to the product inside the box. * The original shipping label.

2.4. Resolution: If the damage claim is approved, we will, at our sole discretion, offer either a full refund for the damaged item(s) or ship a replacement free of charge.

SECTION 3 - SHIPPING ERRORS AND CUSTOMER LIABILITY

3.1. Carrier Delays or Loss: We are not responsible for packages that are lost, stolen, or damaged after delivery, or for spoilage resulting from carrier transit delays. Claims for these issues must be directed to the shipping carrier (UPS, USPS, etc.). (See Section 4.3 and 4.4 of our Shipping Policy).

3.2. Incorrect Address: Refunds will not be issued for orders returned to us due to an incorrect or incomplete shipping address provided by the customer. The customer will be responsible for re-shipping fees. (See Section 4.5 of our Shipping Policy).
