  • Our sauerkraut is a raw, unpasteurized food crafted with authentic Ukrainian fermentation techniques. What makes it special is our commitment to fermenting each batch with a positive Intention from the Wheel of Life (focusing on balance areas like Vitality or Harmony) to support holistic wellness.

  • We use the minimal amount of salt necessary to ensure a safe environment that promotes beneficial bacteria growth while inhibiting harmful pathogens. This usually averages around a 2% salt solution. We use unrefined sea salt, which provides essential minerals beneficial to health.

  • Our ferments are made using a wild fermentation technique, which relies on natural bacteria present on the vegetables. Because of this natural process, each batch can vary in flavor and aroma depending on the microbial cultures that flourish. While the ferment is completely safe to consume, it may simply reflect this natural variation. (Return Policy Section 1.2)

  • Yes, the contents are completely safe to consume. This is a sign of a very active kraut! Continued fermentation in transit causes harmless gas pressure. We recommend opening the jar slowly over a sink with a bowl to contain any bubbling brine. Once the pressure is released, push the kraut down, return any brine, and keep the jar upright in the fridge.

  • We seal our jars tightly enough to keep the healthy juices in! If the lid is stuck, try these tips:

    • Tap the lid’s edge all around with the back of a butter knife.

    • Flip the jar upside down and soak the lid in warm/hot tap water for 3–4 minutes.

    • One more thing: Our kraut is a live culture food that may continue to build pressure. To avoid surprises, always open the jar slowly over a bowl!

  • Our fermented products are naturally preserved, making them inherently durable and resistant to spoilage. For the best taste and texture, we advise enjoying them within 4 months of the purchase date. This suggested timeline applies equally whether the jar remains sealed or has been opened, as its natural preservation is very stable. Always refrigerate to preserve the desired flavor and crunch.

  • This is typical for a live fermented product and is not a fault. The natural bacteria continue to generate gas, and our specialized lids are designed to vent a slight amount of pressure. A small amount of leakage or condensation is safe and does not indicate spoilage (Shipping Policy Section 4.2).

  • Place the jars in your refrigerator immediately upon receipt to halt the rapid fermentation process and preserve crispness and flavor. They should always be stored standing upright.

  • No, absolutely not. Any statements on gut health, immunity, or the Wheel of Life are based on general knowledge and have not been assessed by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Our products are strictly natural food items. It is essential to consult with a healthcare professional before altering your diet, particularly if you have existing medical conditions (T&C Section 4.1, 4.2).

  • We offer simplified flat-rate shipping across the 50 US States and D.C.:

  • We do not include cold packs. The safety of our sauerkraut relies on its natural acidity from fermentation, not refrigeration. The product is safe to eat even if it arrives at room temperature. Refrigeration is simply recommended for quality and flavor maintenance (Shipping Policy Section 4.1).
